Communing with My Garden: Five-Part Webinar Series
‘Communing with My Garden’ is a series of five webinars designed to help you develop intuitive ways to commune with the plants, trees, stones and soil in your garden. Since 1992, I have cultivated intimate relationships with three different gardens where the spirit of Nature supported and mirrored my inner growth in ways I could never have anticipated.
This year, given our deepening concern for the state of the earth, I’m offering five interactive webinars to support people into a deeper relationship with the landscape right outside their front door. As a form of gentle earth activism, ‘going deeper’ into the heart of Nature can complement our social/political actions. While my focus has been inward-oriented, both approaches are needed at this time.
The series will be lightly facilitated and highly participatory. Tips for communing with the spirit will heighten your body-soul awareness of your landscape; additional resources, including a suggested reading list and meditative practices, will augment the hour-long webinars. That said, the main focus will be upon learning together as we become ‘students of Nature’ in our individual gardens.
In a half-hour personal telephone consultation prior to the first session, we will explore the creative potential of your relationship to your garden at this stage of your life, to give you a clearer focus for your webinar experience.
Cost: $150; Maximum number: 12 (A smaller group will allow us time to share stories, photographs, questions and issues that arise during the 5 weeks. If more people sign-up, I may offer a second series on another evening.)
Dates: Wednesday evenings, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 29; June 5, 12, 19, and 26th. The sessions will be recorded for private viewing if you are not able to attend all of them in person.
