The New Year 2022 Essence: The Tide has Turned

The tide has turned as the Earth reclaims her sovereignty. To us as human beings, this feels like a time of great darkness and unprecedented uncertainty. The voices of world leaders ring increasingly hollow and solutions to world issues are mired in carefully calculated rhetoric. Meanwhile, our fascination with technology and addiction to progress without regard for Nature has created an enormous shadow debt.

During this necessary upheaval, the Great Principles that have guided earth-keepers around the world for millennia still hold. These principles, rooted in the heart’s wisdom, have always been intimately resonant with rhythms and cycles of Life. In that respect, they are essentially feminine in nature.

This year marks a shift from the dominant left-brain, masculine approach to a more right-brained, feminine orientation to life. Feminine ways of knowing and being are generated within soulful darkness. Soul values thrive in contemplation instead of swift, reactionary action; it expresses through deep listening rather than dogmatic authority. Soulful authority comes from a courageous willingness to open and let go rather than striving to be successful in a dysfunctional system.

2022 marks the beginning of a cycle of restoration. Rising within each of us is a call to return to the still point. Finding our ground in the still point, we can trust that we are here to bring the light of who we are into this dark time with grace, compassion and humility, and deep respect for the wise and wild beauty of our soul-essence.

With slow exquisite certainty, feel your full circumference.

Open wide your gentle heart and breathe in the magnificence.

Then sing and fill this holy space with every colour your world desires.

I greet your song’s light everywhere.

The New Year 2022 essence comes in an organza bag with a small booklet including the definition, the Gaia poem and several questions to ponder. This year, I’m also offering a separate handout with the definitions for all the essences in the combination, along with an invitation to highlight the phrases that resonate with your journey. This will help you to explore the various energies in a more personal way.
