The Story…
In the dark trunk of a rotting tree lies a small golden ball. Resting in the darkness, it waits to be discovered and claimed. Many pass, oblivious, while others sadly recall the tree’s magnificence. Only a few linger to listen to its dying message.
“Take my gift, this golden seed of new life. Plant it in your heart and let it thrive in the dark soil of your womb. Let this seed spread its roots within you, take hold of your imagination and your will, and fuel your actions with Love.”
Loving the tree and trusting what she hears, a woman reaches deep into the soft moist wood, curls her fingers around the ball and lifts it to the light. Holding it to her heart, she whispers, “Mine to cherish and protect. Mine to plant and tend.”
The ancient one sighs with relief. The treasure has been received.
Entering 2019, we are faced with darkness in our world. Whether we experience this darkness as generative and fertile or frightening and full of doom depends upon how and where we invest our creative energy. The essence gives us the courage to face whatever darkness clouds our lives, empowering us to recognize golden opportunities and tend vibrant seeds of new beginnings.
